Marilyn Levin (b. 1942, Omaha, NE) received her MFA in 1969 from UCLA where she studied with Richard Diebenkorn, and her BA in 1964 from the Boston Museum School/Simmons College dual degree program. Levin had recent solo shows at the Fourth Wall Gallery, Oakland, CA (2025) and the Desta Gallery, Mill Valley, CA (2023). Institutionally, she has been included in group exhibitions at the Weisman Museum, Minneapolis, MN (2023), the Broad Institute at MIT and Harvard (2022), the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Artists Gallery (2002), The Springfield Museum of Art (2001), the Sanskriti Museum in New Delhi, India (2010). Her work is in the collections of the Weisman Museum, the Rose Art Museum, the Kresge Collection at Harvard University, and the Federal Reserve Bank, Boston. Levin lives and works in El Cerrito, CA.
